Strong, medicinal scent.  It is a powerful, yet gentle antiseptic and disinfectant.  Often used for the treatment of athlete's foot.  Can be used directly on cuts to cleanse and disinfect.  Also good for soothing itching caused by insect bites. Works well applied directly to pimples. This is a wonderful oil and one of the few that is acceptable to use directly on the skin although we still recommend dilution. Tea Tree is often recommended as one of the "must have" oils as it is useful for so many applications. Antifungal, Antiviral, Antibacterial.
